ABN AMRO Bank is a Dutch bank with headquarters in Amsterdam. ABN AMRO Bank is the third-largest bank in the Netherlands.
ABN AMRO wants to be a diverse and inclusive company, where diversified talented people feel welcome and safe. Where employees can be themselves and are feel free and valued to use their skills and bring the bank forward. To support this goal, we have established a Gay Bankers Network, which facilitates a platform where like-minded people can meet, exchange experiences and grow their professional network within the organisation. The network also serves as a forum and centre of expertise for network members and the bank’s management on LGBT and related issues. We organise drinks and activities for our LGBT employees in the Netherlands. At the initiative of the Gay Bankers Network, ABN AMRO is sponsoring the Pink Filmdays in Amsterdam (the Amsterdam LGBTQ Filmfestival) for the fourth year in a row.
In February 2018 the 45th edition of the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament (WTT) took place in Rotterdam Ahoy. It was also the 10th edition of the ABN AMRO Wheelchair Tennis Tournament (WWTT).
By sponsoring the Pinkster tournament, the Gay Bankers Network of ABN AMRO wants to connect the corporate world and the LGBT sport community. The transformative nature of sports: its binds and empowers people. We also want to show that ABN AMRO takes diversity and inclusion seriously. ABN AMRO (WTT) goes pink!
We believe that ABN AMRO (WTT and WWTT), tennis, Smashing Pink and the Pinkster tournament are a unique and powerful combination. Together we can support the outreach program of this year , the Bisi Alimi Foundation to improve the position of the LGBT community in Nigeria.
The ABN AMRO Gay Bankers Network wishes all participants a pleasant and successful tournament.
