LET'S PINK!

The Pinkster Tournament is the largest international gay & lesbian tennis tournament in the world. Every year we welcome around 400 players from many different countries. The tournament is organized by tennis club Smashing Pink and is a stop on the World Tour of the International Gay and Lesbian Tennis Alliance (GLTA). THIS YEAR AGAIN: FIRST ROUND POOLS!

There will be no consolation tournament in 2013 agin but EVERY PARTICIPANT will play at least TWO matches in each categogy as we will play the first round in pools in the single, double and mixed. There will be pools of at least 3 participants, this means that the maximum number of participants in each group is limited to 48 players in single and 24 in double and mixed categories. If we get more than this number of participants the tournament directors can decide to add a 40+ category.

The pool rounds will be subject to a shorter playing version, meaning that a third set will be played as a super-tiebreak to 10 points. Some pool rounds can be played indoors.

As in previous years, the tournament directors have the right to shorten all matches further in the event of bad weather.
